The abuseplatform helps
to detect and eliminate online abuse

The case for an abuseplatform

Are you an internet service or hosting- & cloud provider? Chances are you unintentionally have ‘abuse’ on your systems. We use the umbrella term abuse for unlawful content (copyright infringement, child abuse material etc.) and activities such as operating botnet command-and-control servers, operating phishing sites or exploiting spam servers.

It goes without saying that providers will do anything they can to keep this kind of content off their systems. Research by Technical University Delft has however shown that many providers do not succeed, or only to a limited extent. This has to change. By connecting to the abuse platform, providers gain insight into abuse on their systems and networks so that they can quickly take action.
